Just Plain Bossy

Split personalities and hybrid warcrafting

of friends, guilds and servers

I think I posted about how my former guild, the one I leveled 70 to 80 in with my shaman and my priest, and was raiding pretty regularly 25mans even if they were half pugs and chaotic at best, fell apart. I was lucky enough to pug once with this fabulous guild on my server who led raids the way I had always dreamed of them. So when my guild fell apart I joined them because I love to raid and they were stepping into Ulduar. One of my bestest buddies from my guild went with me (others were slower to do so, but more did too).

Now, though, that buddy has left the server with that 80 of his, the one he’s currently raiding with, the awesome dps. It makes me sad.
I respond in a multifaceted way to this.
1. I want you, my friend, to have fun with this game you pay for and play, this game through which I count myself lucky to have “met” you.
2. I do not want to influence your decision. Do what is right for you. Keeping my mouth shut is a test of willpower, for reals.
3. By removing your main raider, we will not play together as much, giving us less to talk about out of the game. True.
4. By removing yourself, you ignore the solid progress made by our guild officers on an alliance (that was SUPREMELY SUCCESSFUL in naxx25) to 25man raid Ulduar, the thing you really wanted.
5. You left. That’s cool. I kinda hope it fails and you are miserable on your new server.
Does this make me a bad friend? I don’t think so. It’s just really the shit that I feel. I’m not doing voodoo dances or sticking needles in a doll to make things happen. Just the reality.
